  1. Take a look to my book Titanium - The true reality behind the German Wonder Weapons. The book describes the confidential historical origins as well the straight way to several revolutionary varieties of the German 'wonder weapons'. Based on the inventions of the former biggest chemical company in the world 'IG-Farben' like the nitrogen synthesis, synthetic rubber, and even though coal hydrogenation, we learn how it was possible to develop a new form of energy production, which might be historical termed as a "philosopher's stone".
In the Third Reich, as it is well known, the Germans attempted to ensure absolute autonomy in its raw material and energy supply. Since it was too risky to realize this self-sufficiency only on the basis of domestic coal, solutions were already being sought at an early stage to obtain a second stand. In this case, too, it is also shown by the example of important researchers, such as Bergius and Tropsch attempting to identify the problems that they were facing. Friedrich Bergius had already applied for a patent on coal hydrogenation as early as 1913, and it was almost in the thirties, also twenty years later, that this technology was realized on a large scale.
The book is also trying to analyze the way in which industrial research made it possible to achieve such a high-level goal.
Building on strict scientific investigations, which were aimed by still unknown industrial researches at that time, it could be achieved to break the old structures of aircraft construction as well in fact tread new paths with new revolutionary technologies.
This occurred in the turning away from light-metal semi-shell construction to a top secret welded titanium structure, which was presented in the history books purely 25 later.
